For over 107 years The Hosiery Association (THA) has been solving problems for its member companies and served as the backbone for the Legwear industry. THA is the only international nonprofit trade association exclusively representing the specific needs of legwear companies that produce and sell more than 90 percent of the products in the US. Supplier companies to the industry also play a major role in membership and sponsorship of THA.
The mission of THA is to support its members' productivity and profitability globally by mitigating legislative, regulatory, trade and marketplace inhibitors.
THA implements its mission through the following tactics:

TechnicalTHA encourages high technical and safety standards as well as technological and design improvements in the manufacture of all legwear products. THA members have direct access to the Manufacturing Solutions Center (MSC) which studies industry problems and works toward the development of solutions for the manufacturer and improvements for the consumer. THA members are the legwear companies that, working together as an association, just saved the entire industry an estimated $300 million in meeting Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act testing and labeling standards.
Webinars & ConferencesTHA sponsors webinars on a variety of topics that is of interest to its membership. Additionally, THA will be conducting a global conference on March 5, 2013 during the Chinese Hosiery Purchasing Exposition (CHPE) in Shanghai, China.
Publications/Public RelationsTHA's electronic newsletter, Hosiery News & Insider, features timely information of interest to legwear companies, manufacturers, suppliers and buyers. It covers all THA activities, industry news, legislative and regulatory concerns, marketing, and technology insights.
THA's public relations efforts include maintaining a constant working relationship with members of the trade and consumer press through all media platforms. There are over 7 billion people on this earth and THA’s goal is encouraging more people to wear more legwear products more often. THA has an active PR Committee which affords member companies product placement in various articles, film, television, award gift bags and a multitude of other opportunities.
