THA has developed several special interest groups in order for its members to maintain a pulse on the industry's latest concerns and issues.

• Seamless Group Vision: “The Seamless Group will address key issues/opportunities facing the industry. It will be the primary destination for information and education related to the business of design, development, production and marketing of seamless garments.”

Three major focuses of the Group:

  • Industry Goal: That the industry has unified messages concerning the value, benefits, and fashion aspects of seamless garments. That the industry works cooperatively in a unified effort to further the technological advancement of seamless products. That the manufacturers within the industry work with suppliers to the seamless industry in an effort to improve technological benefits of machines, yarns, finishing and process development in an effort to continue the growth of opportunity within this technology.

  • Retailer Goal: That we provide for retailers a clear understanding of the benefits and marketing opportunities of garments manufactured utilizing the design and construction properties of seamless construction. That we provide consistent “stories” to be used to promote and market the advantages of seamless products at the consumer level. That we utilize trade shows and other opportunities to communicate the benefits and the process of seamless technology so that we raise awareness and drive demand.

  • Consumer Goal: That we utilize our relationships with retailers and brands to assist them in differentiating and communicating the value and benefits of seamless garment technology to the consumer. That we continue to work to attain credibility for our process through consumer satisfaction, and that we look to translate that satisfaction into increased purchases across a wide range of apparel categories.

The Industry Communications Program will enable THA to establish itself with the members, industry, retailers, consumers and media as the "Go To" place for information. The initiative will encompass sheer hosiery, socks and seamless.  Its goal is to educate the retailer and the consumer through its communication vehicles including but not limited to Hosiery News, Hosiery Insider and the new website.

Statistics/Special Studies Committee will manage a newly designed statistical program including retail sales, production and import/export figures. Information that is vital in analyzing the industry and interfacing with retailers.

Standards Committee programs will be directed by The Hosiery Technology Center (HTC).   The HTC is empowered by THA's support to serve as the industry spokes entity for standards and testing procedures.  HTC provides real value for THA members such as assisting with WRAP Certification and their interactions with outside testing entities such as CTL, TRL, MTL and others.
