 Acme-McCrary Corporation, Asheboro, N.C., announced today that the Board of Directors elected Larry K. Small to the position of President of the Corporation. Larry had previously served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. He joined Acme-McCrary in 2002 and was elected a Director in 2002.
Prior to joining Acme-McCrary, Larry was CEO of Brown Wooten Mills and President/CEO of Holt Sublimation Printing and Products. Mr. Small began his business career with Leath, McCarthy & Maynard Corporation. He is a graduate of Elon University and resides in Burlington and Asheboro, N.C. Currently Mr. Small serves as President of The Hosiery Association, the Charlotte based organization representing the industry. William H. Redding, Jr. will continue to serve as Chief Executive Officer.
Acme-McCrary Corporation is the largest producer of ladies private label hosiery in the U.S.A. Acme-McCrary was founded in 1909 and today supplies hosiery for women, men, children and infants. In 2001 Acme-McCrary formed a joint venture with Wells Hosiery Mills, Inc. producing seamless activewear, daywear and intimate apparel.
