Samaritan’s Feet Needs Your help
5,000 pairs of socks are needed within the next 2 weeks for their upcoming Africa Project. Samaritan’s Feet will be working in 2 orphanages with 600 children and 4 schools with 1,500 children. Most of these children are being raised by older children in the family because of AIDS. Samaritan’s Feet will go back again to this area same area in November with our biggest project of the year which will be to serve over 3,000 of the same kinds of needs. TURNER SPORTS announced this week that TNT’S _INSIDE THE NBA_ announcers will go barefoot on Mother’s Day, SUN., MAY 11, in > an effort to raise awareness for SAMARITAN’S FEET, a charitable organization whose mission is to help outfit 10 million impoverished children worldwide with 10 million pairs of shoes in 10 years. Honor your Mom by donating to samaritan’s feet as we try and raise $64,000 on Mother’s day to help mom’s in africa who struggle every day trying to feed and put shoes on her children. Samaritan’s Feet founder EMMANUEL “MANNY” OHONME will join TNT announcers ERNIE JOHNSON, CHARLES BARKLEY and KENNY SMITH during the show, which follows NBA Playoffs coverage of the NEW ORLEANS HORNETS @ SAN ANTONIO SPURS AT 8 P.M. ET. The segment will feature background information on Samaritan’s Feet as well as how to get involved and donate to the organization.

Legwear in the News: THA has successfully worked with various media outlets in recent weeks on articles which have appeared in Women’s Wear Daily and Southern Textile News. Additional stories are scheduled to appear in Accessories Magazine, Knitting International and Textile Intelligence Magazines. Stay tuned for more details as staff is also working with the writers of the AMC TV series, “Mad Men.” Set in 1960 New York, show follows the lives of the ruthlessly competitive men and women of Madison Avenue advertising.

SHOW DESCRIPTION: Held biannually, Eurosatory is the premier land and land-air defense trade show serving the global defense market. High-ranking visitors from the military attend, including defense ministers, chiefs of staff, senior army commanding generals, top government decision makers, ministers of defense and corporate officials attend to learn of new trends, find out about future equipment and systems and to assess developments in defense and security force requirements. Eurosatory 2008 is also the place where the latest innovations and technologies of use to the forces is presented. Eurosatory 2008 brings together small- and medium-size companies, subcontractors and suppliers and the major international manufacturers to meet with key military and government decision makers from 120 countries. The show is not open to the public.
