Common Ground-Delivering Value for Our Membership

In serving our industry for more than 100 years, our association has proven to meet the challenges of our industry. I have selected “Common Ground-Delivering Value for Our Membership” as the Chairman’s theme. There are growing opportunities for The Hosiery Association (THA) to add value for our membership.

New Year….New Membership Services

During the past year, The Hosiery Association’s (THA) staff, officers and Board of Directors have worked diligently to position this organization in such a manner that it continues to offer value to its membership and remain a viable entity. Industry volatility creates an environment in which businesses must manage themselves effectively and efficiently. THA membership is an investment in our industry’s future.

Who’s the Customer?
You Just Might Be Surprised

Last month, I wrote about customer service and how certain businesses separate themselves from the pack by performing small services designed to delight the customer, like the store owner who keeps dog treats behind the counter for customers with pets in tow or the online retailer who sends a personalized thank you for each order. Small actions like these go a long way in personalizing the experience, making the customer feel valued and validates why the customer chose this particular retailer over another.

Bare it all? Not this Fall.
Designers feature leg-wear in their shows in a big way.

Designers, models, photographers, celebrities, and potential buyers fled to New York City for Fashion Week this past February to preview this fall’s newest trends. However, something is distinctly different about the upcoming trends—no bare legs, in sight. . Last fall, fashion week saw the return of leggings, an eighties trend that had been banished to gyms, yoga and aerobics classes for more than a decade. Have the trendiest designers decided to finally break out “grandma’s stockings” out of the attic?
